In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. He put man in the Garden of Eden to dress and to keep it; and always came down in the cool of the day to interact and fellowship with man. What a privilege! However, they spoiled the party by allowing Satan to deceive them into disobeying God’s commandment given in Genesis 2:16-17 (And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eats thereof thou shalt surely die”).
This disobedience brought sin into the world, hence separation between man and God, then man started looking for ways of covering their nakedness but God in His mercy clothed them with animal skin (shielding of blood) Read Gen.3:1-11
All have sinned and have come short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Rom 3:23; 6:23). The good news is that, as a sinner God loves us, but He does not like the sin in us, and that was why He sent His only begotten son to die for my sin and for your sin. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16
Maybe you are reading this post today and you have not known Him, I want to congratulate you because this is day that the Lord has made for you, I implore you to open your heart unto Him and come to Him today, just like Zacchaeus did; he was determined to see Jesus and his life never remained the same. And he ran before and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house. And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. Luke 19:4-6
